Rosedale is a very welcoming home which is run by a very friendly group of people. The management and staff are caring and considerate at all times. There is a regular staffing and not a constant turnover which contributes to the smooth running to the home and the staff resident relations.

My father who passed away recently spent a year at Rosedale. He had vascular Dementia and latterly was not mobile and required help with feeding. Throughout his time at Rosedale, my sister and I were impressed by the operational leadership of the home and the caring nature of its staff. They are a wonderful team, friendly, motivated and caring. To say they went the extra mile would be an understatement. They were all great from the handyman to the diverse range of carers.
Rosedale is not the smartest home or best endowed with facilities but for compassion and care delivered professionally, I think it would be hard to beat. I would have no hesitation recommending it.
My father was self-funding and I have no doubt that he would feel that the home was very good value. We could tell he enjoyed his stay at Rosedale. His smiles said it all.

My mother has been well looked after for 8 and a half years at this home. Good continuity of staff who are well trained and handle the difficulties that accompany Alzheimer’s with a smile and tremendous patience and understanding. Her surroundings are comfortable and we are kept up to date with all the problems that occur along the way by staff and management. Everyone does a tremendous job. I am glad I chose this home.

Our mother was admitted to this care home 8 1/2 years ago and resided happily in this caring and supportive environment until her recent death (of natural causes). She suffered from dementia and multiple ailments, which could be challenging during her stay in this home. She received a wonderful standard of care from the staff and external visitors/professionals. Mum was loved and all family members were warmly welcomed. Social events for residents and family were fabulous and there was a lovely family atmosphere amongst the staff and the residents.

When reading the tabloid papers you hear such terrible stories of care homes, it is refreshing to see a real quality of care in our community. I have truly found a gem of a home.

From the very first day we brought my mum, we felt really comfortable with the surroundings and initial meet with staff and management. My mum has lived in this care home for more than 10 years now and considers many of the staff as her friends. The environment in the home is caring and supportive in often quite challenging circumstances. The staff create a positive atmosphere and are creative in their organisation of activities to motivate and entertain residents as well as providing empathetic one on one input to engage and reassure all the residents.

Rosedale has a friendly homely feel. All the staff are very approachable and caring towards the residents.
The home is clean and bright and the residents looked well cared for. Mum enjoys the food and there is always a choice on the menu. The activities coordinator is always finding new things for the residents to try, quizzes, bingo, seasonal crafts etc. All the residents were taken out to a nursery and thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Party and entertainment. It’s reassuring to feel my mum is safe, well cared and respected.

Mum only came to Rosedale in January 2020, so up until the point where we were able to visit. We were very happy with her care but obviously Covid-19 we have been unable to see her. But the care home was very good throughout the summer months as we were able to visit in the garden. Since then, we have not been able to visit but we ring and the staff keep us updated. Mum also has dementia.

Rosedale Care Home staff are very kind and caring towards their clients – I accompanied my 96-year-old friend who is a resident for almost two years to the hospital for a routine hospital appointment. The staff member who came with us showed great professionalism. My friend laughed and chatted and enjoyed the day out – thanks to the staff who are encouraging and caring.

My friend is happy there and I am pleased with her care.

Visits are well organised – my friend always looks lovely and clean and in good spirits. Whilst she has mobility and memory problems she has settled in well. Her room is lovely – I know she enjoys her meals and the communication between family and care home is excellent.

My father was on respite for six nights in May 2022. Prior to his visit, I wanted to ‘check out’ the home and make sure it was suitable for his needs. The residents I saw looked clean and happy. I spoke to various members of staff who answered any queries I had at the time. Dad enjoyed his stay so much he wanted to stay longer, unfortunately, they did not have space for him. I mentioned to the staff that if any day/week became available I knew Dad would love to come back. Six months later a space became available and Dad is currently in respite for two weeks – today he told me he would like to stay a little longer as he is enjoying himself so much. He loves the food, and the attention and kindness shown to him by all members of staff. When I go on holiday shortly I will not have to worry about Dad as he will be in safe hands. If you get the opportunity for an elderly relative to stay in this home, I would totally recommend this.

Rosedale Care Home is a home from home for its residents. The care staff know their residents and personalisation and individualised care is evident. The manager and all the team provide the highest quality care with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect for the residents’ individual needs. They do their jobs with humour and empathy and it is very clear that the caring role is more than a job to them. There is a calmness and sereneness to this home. The staff tailor activities to residents’ needs and lives. Grandad was exceptionally happy and cared for here. I would not hesitate to recommend this safe, homely, person-centred home for your loved ones.

Dad spent his last few years there and was happy and extremely well cared for. They had the utmost patience with him and, even in his final days when he didn’t know his family, he would always smile when the staff spoke to him. They showed him nothing but care and compassion and the house felt just like a big family, with plenty of varied activities that the residents could participate in.
